Roohi First Day (Thursday) Box Office Collection Report

Roohi has taken a decent start at the box office on day one. The film started slowly in morning shows and showed reasonable growth all through the day. Numbers are decent considering the post-Covid pandemic. Roohi has shown the path for the rest of the Bollywood films to release in theaters. It has also hinted that audiences are ready to come to theaters if good content is available to watch.

Roohi has collected 3 crore nett approx on the first day that is on Thursday. In pre-Covid times numbers would have been poor to below average. But the situation is totally different now. Any kind of significant business can be touted as good in today's time. In fact, Roohi is the first major release post-Covid pandemic.

Roohi is leading the Bollywood fightback and giving some kind of respite to the exhibitor section. Still, it is a long recovery path to normalcy. The film did decently in Delhi. In other parts business was at the lower level. Overall occupancy for the first day is around 10-15% which is not all bad. In fact in Maharastra cinema halls operated at 50% occupancy max. We do hope that situation comes under control soon and 100% occupancy is allowed there also.

Roohi initial word of mouth, be it critics or audiences is mixed at this moment. Still, it is early stage and actual word of mouth will be known by end of Friday. We do hope the film holds well on Friday that is the second day. If that happens then there is a possibility of a decent to good jump on Saturday and Sunday.

Stay tuned for more updates on Roohi!
