Mumbai Saga and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar First Day Opening Update

Mumbai Saga and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar both new releases have taken a slow start at the box office on opening Friday. Mumbai Saga's start is still a bit better considering all current scenarios. However, SAPF is simply a washout from the word go itself.

Mumbai Saga has registered an occupancy of 10% or a little more than that till the last report filled in for day one. This is simply not enough. Even when we consider the post-Covid pandemic scenario, still opening should have been better. But still, it is a start and there is a possibility of growth. We do hope that film shows growth on Saturday and Sunday to put up a decent first weekend total.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has reported a low occupancy of 5% or so till the last report filled in. This is shocking, to say the least. Even film had a limited release and because of that occupancy should have been on the higher side. But that is not the case. It will be very difficult for the film to grow from here on and will need miraculous growth on Saturday and Sunday.

Coming to the word of mouth of both the films. Initial word of mouth of Mumbai Saga is decent to positive. Actual word of mouth will be known by the end of Saturday. As for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, it is extremely mixed. In fact, samples are very limited to make any guess. We will wait for another day to know the actual word of mouth of the film.
