Detective Chinatown 3 and Hi, Mom is setting China Box Office on fire. But the tremors are felt across the globe. Both film cumulative business in the first five days is in excess of $800 million. This is simply insane. It is 3 pm in Beijing time and still a good number of shows for the fifth day are still left. Hence, numbers could even come higher.
Detective Chinatown 3 has amassed nearly $500 million so far and is set to go past this magical mark easily by the end of the day. Hi, Mom is coming into its own and its day four and day five business is set to be higher than Detective Chinatown 3. Hi, Mom has amassed a $300 million mark so far.
Both films have collected $804.59 million so far and that means in INR it is around a whopping 5850 crores. Both these films' combined business will soon cross the $1000 million mark. Now there is no doubt that the China box office is easily competing with the Northern America box office and is set to go even higher in the coming days.
