Highest Grossing Bollywood (Hindi) Movies of 2018. June Update

2018 has been a kind year for Bollywood so far. In first four months we have seen 6 successful films which is a great turn out. Atleast 2018 is far far better than 2017. In addition a big Hollywood release 'Avengers: Infinity War' is also ruling the roost right now at box office and exhibitors are smiling big time.

Year 2018 saw 2 Blockbusters and 1 Super Hit in first 4 month itself. Year also had the first 300 crore in Padmaavat which was a Super Hit at box office. Had film be cost on standard then film would have easily attained Blockbuster status.

Good news is Bollywood saw its first two pure Blockbusters in Baaghi 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Both film manage to sneak into 100 crore club. Baaghi 2 went one step ahead to join 150 crore club.

Raid joined 100 crore list and emerged as a Hit. Hichki joined Raid in Hit list. PadMan received excellent word of mouth from audiences and even critics and has emerged as Above Average.

Yes, how can we forget about the 'Flop' galore at box office. This has been again a norm for 2018 as like past years. Aiyaary and Kaalakaandi are big disappointment of the year and hence disasters. Just imagine, Kaalkaandi distributor share is approx 2.5 crores and they even fail to cover the marketing cost. Forget about the budget.

Missing was such an epic disaster that film failed to touch even 1 crore nett in India and it was missing from screening after the first day itself as shows got cancelled. Film fail to collect even the parking fees of the cinema halls.

  1. I think padmavati is a blockbuster because of the price sold to distributors. An example if the film has been sold for a national distribution price of 120 cr then at 280+cr film should be a blockbuster.plus overseas status is All time blockbuster

    1. I second that. Padmaavat is a true blockbuster. SKTKS is only a super hit.
