PATI PATNI AUR WOH –remake of the legendary B.R. Chopra’s 1978 classic by Mudassar Aziz is illuminated right from beginning in its honesty and respect for the original. In sync with today’s time with a decisive edge coming from a surprise twist in character graph, this debate on the ‘who’ of woh’ finds solace in its pleasing humour wrapped in wining emotions and top-notch performance.

Rating Score -> 2/5
Pati Patni Aur Woh in the end could have been a time pass watch at least for fans of Kartik Aaryan, except his character is probably the weakest and comes off as a selfish bumbling idiot.

Director Mudassar Aziz has put together a comedy that’s perfect for a one-time-watch. It isn’t life-altering, but makes for a pleasant watch.

Basically a whole lot of random desi-lad humour, in what's essentially a naughty-uncle comedy about the wife, and woh (the other woman). Couldn't find anything funny here. Surely this sort of stuff has an audience. Hope the film finds it then.

Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Pati Patni Aur Woh has an easy-breezy first half. In the second half, though, the film takes the usual route and becomes a tad bit boring. But all in all, it is an enjoyable watch which you wouldn’t mind investing your time into.

Thoroughly entertaining contemporary adaptation of BR Chopra’s classic... Well penned, well executed, well enacted [Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi, Ananya, Aparshakti, all in terrific form]... Recommended!

Rating Score -> 3/5
Pati Patni Aur Woh is a lighthearted, breezy affair that intermittently tickles your funny bone, but had the potential to be a real laugh riot. It's still a decent crowd pleaser and should especially appeal to the family audience and Kartik Aaryan fans. I'm going with 3 stars.

You may find the new Pati Patni Aur Woh funny, if you can overlook the gheesa-peetha tropes, bear Kartik in his usual goofy avatar, and find the age-old humour in extra-marital dalliances chuckle-worthy. Otherwise, you can either seek out the original or wonder if like the songs, Bollywood cannot think beyond recycling old movies too.

If you're a Kartik Aryan fan and really want to see him do a lot of silly lying and dancing and prancing, you should go watch Pati Patni Aur Woh. If you're into a serious conversation about what kind of misogyny bar is being set in Bollywood with films like De De Pyaar De and Housefull 4, watch Stree instead. If you're just looking to pass some time, go watch Pati Patni aur Woh.

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Pati Patni Aur Woh is a fun and entertaining watch and should not be missed to erase all the bad memories created by the original one. The film has a few surprises which are not reason enough to make the film a compulsory watch. If you are free this weekend and want to enjoy some time with friends and family, go watch this film with them and come home unaffected.

Alternating between a farce and melodrama, thankfully none of it coming from the women, Pati Patni Aur Woh can't decide whether it wants to be the climax of a Priyadarshan comedy or give the cad a dose of his own medicine brand of cheeky payback. What it's certain is every straying male deserves sympathy. So did the devil.

The challenge with this adaptation is that in the four decades since the original released, audiences have woken up to the fact that cheating in a marriage is no laughing matter. This makes director Mudassar Aziz’s job a tricky one, particularly if the film must reach a logical conclusion following the fleeting sequences of situational comedy. And while it manages to update the betrayed spouse as vengeful partner keen on getting even, the other woman continues to be a dispensable accessory to the equation. As for the cheating husband, it’s only a matter of time before he can truly appreciate his biwi number 1.
