Panipat has shown growth on Saturday (2nd day) at the box office. Despite the jump, collections are at a lower level as the film opened to poor numbers on Friday. The film will need huge growth on Sunday and miraculous hold on 1st Monday to bail out of jail now.
Panipat has collected 6 crore net approx on day 2. Film total business thus stands at 10.1 crore net approx. Film first weekend business is trending towards 17-17.5 crore net mark which is much below the par level.
Panipat needed big jump in the range of 70-80% or more on day two. But the jump was 45% or so. A 45% jump is not bad if Friday registers good business. But here it is much below the expected level. Now film needs a big 40-50% growth on Sunday to salvage some pride. Will it be able to? Let's wait and check. We are still positive.
