Panipat First Day (Friday) Box Office Collection Report

Panipat had a poor start to the box office campaign on opening Friday (1st day). The film is made on big-budget and hence needed to start strong. The film started poorly all across the country including Maharashtra belt. It will need miraculous growth on Saturday if it entitles any chance to salvage some pride.

Panipat has collected 4.5 crore net approx on day one. Ideally, the film needed double numbers to start the campaign. A 7-8 crore net start was a must considering the budget film is carrying on its shoulders. A 40-50% jump on day 2 will not do. The film will need at least 70-80% growth or maybe more also now.

Panipat has registered a poor occupancy of 15-20% all through the day. In the morning and noontime occupancy was shocking. It is a little bit growth in the evening and night time which took occupancy to that level.

What is shocking that film occupancy in Maharashtra belt is also poor. Yes, it is better than the rest of India but still at a lower level. The film has received a mixed response from both critics and audiences. Let's hope that the film somehow recovers ground on Saturday and put up some kind of total for the first weekend to have a fight on 1st Monday. Will it? That is the big question at this moment.
