Pagalpanti had a poor start to the box office campaign. The film did poorly on day one (Friday) and now needs a huge jump on Saturday to recover the grounds. Is it possible? We will get that answer in a few hour's time.
Pagalpanti started very poorly in the morning shows. The average occupancy was below 10%. The film remains flat in the noon and afternoon shows with a very limited jump here and there. The film did show some jump from evening onward but the jump was limited again.
Overall occupancy for the whole day was a miserly 15%. That is simply not enough. Film first day collection is 5-5.25 crore net approx as per estimates. Ideally, the film needed at least 8-9 crore net start as the film is carrying a good budget.
Pagalpanti will need 70-80% growth on Saturday (2nd day) to stay in the box office race. Even that might not be enough but it will give some hope to the film. A regular 40-50% growth will simply be not enough. Saturday is extremely crucial right now and let's not talk about the killer Monday at this moment.
Over budget for this mess!!!!!!
