Bala is off to a dream start at the box office on opening Friday (1st day). Although actual numbers are a bit lower than our predicted early estimates yesterday. This is mainly because of film under-performed in interiors. Hope word of mouth catches up there also and the film takes off well in the interiors as well.
Bala has collected 10.15 crore net approx on day 1. Film registered 30-35% occupancy all through the day which is simply fantastic considering yesterday was a normal working day. Ayushmann Khurrana is a star and double-digit start will be normalcy from here on for his films now.
Bala should see big growth on Saturday and initial reports of the film are good. 40-50% growth is bound to happen on day 2. It may be more also. If everything goes well film the first weekend will head towards 40-45 crore net mark. If the film shows a bigger jump it may go close to 50 cr mark also.
Bala is made on a moderate budget and there is a big possibility that film might be a hit by the end of the first week itself. If not then definitely by the end of the second weekend. Monday hold will determine where the film is heading in the long run. But a 100 crore mark looks bare minimum from here on unless film shows lesser growth on Saturday and drops significantly on Monday.

ReplyDeleteDdpd opened at 8.5 crs not 7 crs.yes but still operating of ddpd can be called poor since ajay is bigger star than Ayushman . problem with Ajay is he don't have big pull in multiplexes.
