War has simply taken almost all the screens across India specially in the northern belt. Yes, Sye Raa has majority of screens in South India but the same can't be said about North India. Joker is sandwiched between these two big releases. Rest holdover releases have hardly any kind of screening left.
War has got a screen of 4000-4100 screen approx across India. That is huge considering film is clashing with Sye Raa a biggie from down south. Film is reporting historic advances for day one and we might have a new all opening record by the end of the day.
Sye Raa Hindi version has managed a screen of 900-950 approx which is not at all bad considering it is clashing with War which is easily one of the most anticipated film of the year. Film can still strike big it registers good occupancy. Yes, ideally film needed 1500 screens to showcase it talent at the box office and it is miles below that level.
Joker despite one of the biggest Hollywood releases of the year has got only 700 screens approx. Again it is not bad considering it is clashing with War and Sye Raa. Film still can rock if it registers good occupancy all through the day. Ideally, film needed 1000-1200 screens and it is much below that level.
