As Siddharth Anand quipped in a conversation with me before the release, War isn't a life-changing experience, but, it is high on entertainment, shock value and fun. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's face-off is a blast. Go in with high suspension of disbelief and enjoy the war.

2. Times of India -

Rating Score -> 3/5
The relentless action and the dialoguebaazi is entertaining, but the predictable storytelling and the not-so-original screenplay leave a lot to be desired in this desi action flick. On the back of films like Hrithik's Dhoom 2 and Tiger's Baaghi 2, War is a decent addition to both actors' action film legacy. But this high-profile bang bang show is at best, popcorn entertainment for action movie buffs.

WAR is that film that is perfect for a mid-week holiday. It has enough to keep you talking about it for the next couple of days. And ladies, if you start fantastising about Hrithik Roshan once again, do not blame us. Those gleaming biceps are lustworthy and how.

Now to the performances. Tiger tries, and the more he tries, the more he squints. His voice gets shrill and shriller until the climax, and you need to watch War for that. Hrithik, on the other hand, doesn’t walk or run to the top spot. He glides, with a swagger he had mastered way back in Dhoom 2, and then in Bang Bang. War is a crowd-puller, but it isn’t meant to further the cause of cinema. It will entertain you. But if you plan to take something away from a film, watch Joker instead.

Rating Score -> 2/5
Every frame bristling with the combined smirk-and-swag of Hrithik-Tiger? Check. Lavish locations all around the world? Present and accounted for. Lots of fast-paced chases? War has all of the above, and yet, it’s in the not quite there zone: not quite smart enough, and most importantly, not quite new enough.

Rating Score -> 3/5
War is an ode to such star power, one that pits Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff together for the first time and capitalises on their famous idol-idoliser energy to draw us into a world of espionage, action and camaraderie.

7. DNA -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Overall we have a hollow script with little emotions, a big budget and a team that has something to prove. WAR seems more like a Hrithik Roshan and YRF come back than anything else. WAR seems to have just begun, here's to hoping for a better future without a sequel.

All in all the action sequences, the dance sequences, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s bromance and the muscle play is what the audiences should come to the theatre to relish at least once!

If you are a Hrithik, Tiger fan and want to enjoy an action-packed spectacle of two good-looking men bruised and bleeding with guns and bullets giving them company, then 'War' is for you. Also, the twists and turns can boggle your brain but no I am not giving away any of the spoilers here!

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
War packs in a bit of everything. Chase sequences on supercars over snow-covered terrains, and also on sportbikes — zipping through cobblestone streets across Europe. Then, there are vehicles being tossed from the sky and off cliffs to make Rohit Shetty proud. And even the unarmed combat sequences include a jab, stab, and lockdown to tick all the boxes.

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
All they wish to do is witness two of the most revered action and dancing sensations together in the same frame. The men do deliver, but the film doesn't. War's greatest achievement could be being better than Anand and YRF's last few offerings. That may be enough to make this a blockbuster!

War isn’t trying for depth but the story isn’t afraid of being slightly more twisty. The film is too long and the post-interval portion sags. In places, the narration gets clumsy – there’s a flashback within a flashback and the songs are force-fitted. In fact, the background music by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara has more impact than the two songs by Vishal-Shekhar.  This is a testosterone-heavy universe – the women, Vaani Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Anupriya Goenka briefly saunter in to provide the emotional centre. But War is very much a bromance which sparkles because Hrithik and Tiger are combative without being competitive. I had a good time. I think you will too.

On the whole, War is a sureshot hit. It has the magical chemistry of two handsome hunks, their superb action, and an outstanding dance picturised on both of them as its major plus points. The film will join the Rs. 100-crore club in no time; it will also soon become a part of the Rs. 200-crore club. It has the potential to even touch the Rs. 250-crore mark. It will do business at great speed. The film could prove to be the starting of a new franchise for the Yash Raj Films banner.

It's not often that you see a movie whose best scenes are not all used up in the trailer. War has enough and more spectacular action sequences and plot twists to keep you peeled. If you are a fan of the action packed spy movies, then you'd like this.

Rating Score -> 2/5
With well-convincing (but also just a bit predictable) twists, Siddharth Anand sure delivers a glamourous action entertainer. There is no doubt that the action scenes are good, but Bollywood has seen some better and thrilling action sequences in the past. With some stunning locations and fashionable outfits, Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan sure bring in the glamour and style to the film but it lacked story and showed some unbelievale Bollywood cliches.

Escapist cinema at its best... Aces: Hrithik and Tiger’s power-packed act and chemistry + dazzling action pieces + stunning visual appeal + ample thrills, twists, suspense... Dear BO, get ready for the typhoon. #WarReview
