The Sky Is Pink had a poor start to the box office campaign on opening Friday (first day). Film started very poorly in the morning with just 5-10% occupancy. Film showed a minimal jump in noon and afternoon time. Film did pick up in evening and night shows but it was not huge.
The Sky Is Pink has collected a paltry 2.75 crore net on day one. Film first day average occupancy was around 15-20% or so. Film is doing decent business in metros and a few big cities. In the rest of India business is simply horrific.
The film can still make grounds if it shows big growth on Saturday and Sunday. Critics and initial audience word of mouth is on the positive side. Ideally film needs a big jump of 60-70% on Saturday to have any chance. A usual 30-40% growth will not do any good. Anything less and it will be all over.
Not only that as film has started slowly on Friday it will need to have 1st Monday number stay as close to Friday and if possible better also. Is that possible? Let's stay positive as anything can happen at the box office. The road is tough ahead but not impossible.
It's already DISASTER
