Saaho Sixth Day Box Office Collection Report

Saaho Hindi version has shown a further drop on Wednesday (6th day) at the box office. Film business also got affected by rain especially in Mumbai/Maharashtra belt. Still business is decent and film first week is heading towards a very respectable number.

Saaho added 6.9 crore nett on day 6. Film total collection currently stands at 109.25 crore nett. The film first week business is heading towards 115 crore nett mark.

Saaho Hindi version is a HIT at the box office unless film registers big drop on 2nd Friday. Even a decent hold on day 8 will ensure film HIT status. As for lifetime business, it all depends on how film lands on 2nd Friday. As if now film should touch 130-140 crore nett in India and that is bare minimum mark. Film has a chance of touching or crossing 150 crore nett in India also and again all depends on 2nd Friday hold.

Collection Breakup -

Friday - 24.4 crore nett

Saturday - 25.2 crore nett

Sunday - 29.45 crore nett

Monday - 14.2 crore nett

Tuesday - 9.1 crore nett

Wednesday - 6.9 crore nett

Total - 109.25 crore nett

  1. the movie already crashed in the south, the movie opened at 54cr net there now it's not even earning 7cr on its 5th day.Nothing is going to save that movie in that part. Hindi belt is also running out of gas. It is just now those deep interior screens that are contributing due to the bahubali prabhas factor, rest the fall is everywhere.

  2. Has Bollywood forget Masses?

Why has Bollywood drifted away from its core audiences?

Sensibility of content: Bollywood is primarily making content these days targetting urban audiences. The stories and treatment are very elitist. So much so that the average small town Indian finds it unpalatable but lapped up in big cities. Even, when they attempt heartland subjects they make it so realistic that small town audiences dont find it engaging. Cinema that connects with Universal audience is way too less.
Genre Limitation: Most Bollywood films are social dramas. Top stars are primarily doing social dramas. Action films we hardly make, maybe 3 or 4 a year. It took a Tiger Shroff to make people realise that action still sells. We have completely stopped making Horror films. Even too few out and out comedies. Films like Golmaal and Dhamaal too few.
Budget: While Tamil and Telugu are amping up budgets, we are cutting them and playing safe. Star driven controlled budget concept films tackling social issues. Preferably produced by the star and the star takes away all the profits as renumeration. Big budget extravaganzas are pretty much dead. Films with massive canvas and budgets are pretty much dead. These ingredients really dazzle the audience and Bahubali 2 is a glaring example. Big budgets ensure that the film can be best enjoyed in cinemas on huge screens.
