All new releases Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, The Zoya Factor and Prassthanam had a poor run so far at the box office. PPDKP is slightly better than the other two but again collections are poor. All three films are heading towards outright flop. The Zoya Factor is the worst among all and is heading towards outright disaster.
PPDKP has collected 4.75 crore nett approx in the first weekend. Film should touch 7 crore nett in the first week and lifetime business may touch 10 crore nett mark at most.
Prassthanam has collected 3.15 crore nett approx in the first weekend. Film lifetime business will wrap up in around 7 crore nett mark.
The Zoya Factor has collected 2.6 crore nett approx in the opening weekend. Film lifetime business will wrap up in around 4.5-5 crore nett mark.

With a earning like this the distributors of these movie won't be even able to pay the screen rent of these movie, forget about the other expenses that comes with releasing a movie. the combine weekeend collection of these movies are (4.5+3+2)=9.5cr which should have been the collection of each movie just in Sunday if they hope to recover cost. With a combine budget of (60+30+30)=120cr the investor and producers won't even see a single penny in return. This is much of a disaster this movies are. It's like someone poured gasoline on 120cr and put fire on it and turned the money into smoke and ash. Pure horror in terms of business.
ReplyDeleteI asked Sanjay and sunny who seems to pour their own money into these film should really think twice taking decision like this. There is no need to revive Sunjay dutt solo career he can do a lot better with supporting role and as for sunny find some relevancy with the modern audience firt because your recent movies have become so irrelevant that it seriously looks money going in flames
Woth current trending its safe to say that ppdkp is not a bad movie just that it unfortunately got stuck woth Chichorey and Dream Girl both performing much higher than expectations.
ReplyDeleteElse the weekend could have been close to 10 crores and could have touched 20 crore by week 1. For debutant movies a lifetime over 35 crore is decent and it could have had a shot at it. Now even 15 is touch and go.
Why all three such a disaster, especially PPDKP, was expecting better collections.
