#DreamGirl: WINNER. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ayushmann Khurrana continues his dream run... Full-on entertainer with dollops of humour... Garnished with witty lines... Ayushmann, Annu Kapoor terrific... Raaj Shaandilyaa’s direction hits the right chord. #DreamGirlReview

'Dream Girl' is great for laughs and the message about the lack of affinity we have for each other and the loneliness faced by people in the modern world is one which needs to be paid attention to. But somehow 'Dream Girl' runs through it at such a pace, many of the jokes don't work and we are left wondering when matters will come to a head and the film will end.

Rating Score -> 3/5
The comedy of errors is fetching in the beginning, but loses its momentum and sheen in the second half. Too many clowns spoil the Bollywood broth rings true for its climax. The makers also seem overly concerned about making this entertainer vanilla. It loses its edge in that mad rush to over-sanitise it. The seamy side of the shady phone service industry is never explored. It’s sleaziness is downplayed to alarming proportions and even injects some honour into the exercise.

Rating Score -> 3/5
At the end of it, the film slips in a message on loneliness, social media friends and having someone to talk to. Despite the flaws, ‘Dream Girl’ attempts to show the leading man in a different light, and manages to entertain in parts.

Rating Score -> 3/5
Dream Girl is a hilarious film and definitely something that the masses will love to watch. Despite a few flaws, it keeps you entertained but you end up expecting more from Ayushmann-Annu duo that seems quite weak. It’s a fun watch with the family or your friends.

Rating Score -> 3/5
At the end, 'Dream Girl' is surely delightful but the humour in it will not be everyone's cup of tea. You have to give the film wide latitude. You will laugh, not only at Ayushmann Khurrana, but also at the dialogues and the plot's improbable situations. After all, a sense of the absurd is what comedy is all about.

Raaj Shaandilyaa deserves credit for bringing something new to the table. However, his hesitation to delve deeper into the subject makes it score less on the report card. If you are looking for a light-hearted comedy this weekend, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl should definitely be on your list.

"Dream Girl" is your film if you are looking for a couple of hours packed with feel-good fun. Only, don't go in looking for deeper nuances just because the film flaunts Ayushmann Khurrana as its hero - there are none.

All in all, an average film, with some good performances, dispersed here and there.

Rating Score -> 3/5
This is the kind of unpretentious, over-the-top, front-bencher comedy that actors led by Govinda used to crack it with hits, or misses, often written by Rumi Jaffery, or directed by David Dhawan, back in the '90s.

This film had tremendous potential just for the one-line brief that may have excited investors to back it. While it packs in some sharp one-liners and furnishes bizarre situations, it doesn’t go beyond that. It’s almost as if the makers
were so excited with the very premise that they didn’t bother to figure out where they wanted to take this story.

Ayushmann Khurrana is outstanding as Karam/Pooja. He is superb, whatever the scene — comedy, dramatic, melodramatic, emotional or romantic. It’s a delight to see him perform and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that his acting elevates the drama to the next level. Nushrat Bharucha gets limited scope but she has performed ably as Mahi. She looks pretty too. On the whole, Dream Girl is a straight hit because it has tremendous entertainment value.
