Both last week's releases Mission Mangal and Batla House have retained most of their screens for the second week. As there is literally no opposition both films are set to rule the box office again in week two also.
Mission Mangal has retained around 2700-2800 screens approx for week two. There is a reduction of just 15% screening from the first week. The film has done very well in the first week and reports are positive. Hence, we expect the film to do well again in the coming days. Film is a HIT at the box office and a good second week business will take the film beyond Super Hit mark.
Batla House has retained around 1500-1600 screens approx for the second week. There is a reduction of 35% screening from the first week. ReplyDeleteSo in its 2nd week, with no new releases Batla House still loses 35% screens. One can only guess how many screens it'll lose next week once Saaho releases. Even Mission Mangal, which has clearly been a much better performing film than Batla House, will lose atleast 65% of its screens next week & that too if its performs at the same level like it did in the last weekend. There is no way Batla House is doing more than 17-18 Cr this week. Next week it'll be out of the cinemas & producers can then look to release it on Netflix or Amazon Prime. All in all, Lifetime total - 77-78 Cr (minus the Producer's 12% GST figures). Verdict - Above Average
