Mission Mangal had a very good extended first weekend at the box office India. Film has done huge business in the first four days. Film trending is on the positive side and it should further help the film to sustain well in the weekdays.
Mission Mangal has collected 27.55 crore nett approx on Sunday (day 4). Multiplexes trend suggested film was on track to touch 30 crore nett for the day. But film failed to show a massive jump in single screens specially in interiors. Because of that collection remain lower than the estimated level.
Mission Mangal total collection stands at 97.55 crore nett approx. Film will touch 100 crore nett on Monday. Mission Mangal is a Smash Hit. However, Monday hold will determine whether film will be a Super HIT or Blockbuster. Ideally, film needs to hold strong on Monday to emerge as a Blockbuster or to even touch 200 crore nett mark in India. By the end of Monday, we will have a clear idea.
Collection Breakup -
Thursday - 29.15 crore nett
Friday - 17.25 crore nett
Saturday - 23.6 crore nett
Sunday - 27.55 crore nett
Saturday - 23.6 crore nett
Sunday - 27.55 crore nett
Total - 97.55 crore nett approx
Crossing 100Cr would have been good in flat 4 days. Day 1 collection indicate star power as the shows are filled by fans. Sunday crucial test as family and other cinegoers come. Still 27 not bad but 30 would have been a inficator of sure shot 200+ lifetime. 30 on sunday after an opening of 29 would have been really big sign of films success.

DeleteIt is better to lose business than to lose credibility. Business lost can be regained but credibility lost is hard to gain back. A 100 Crore Weekend for Akshay Kumar is just a matter of time. It would be either Housefull 4, or Sooryavanshi, if not then Bachhcan Pandey. It'll come anyway, so why to waste credibility like John Abraham & Bhushan Kumar!!! Good that Makers of Mission Mangal are keeping it honest & reporting accurate numbers.
