Mission Mangal is showing a superb hold on 1st Wednesday (7th day) at the box office as early trends for the day are coming in. Film is holding excellent and showing no drop as such from Tuesday. This is fantastic. It means Wednesday box office numbers should stay close to Tuesday.
Mission Mangal occupancy report for Wednesday is given below. Tuesday occupancy report is provided in the bracket just for comparison. There is simply no drop as such. At places, there is a minuscule drop of 5% or so and at others literally nothing. In fact, at a few places film has reported growth.

ReplyDeleteBefore release expectation for bharat was 400 cr, before release of of MM expectation was 130 cr maximum.. but both perform unexpectedly one is bellow and other is above. Both are holliday release one having clash other was solo.. thats all about the movie collection.. all r interested in collection which benefits the celebrity but non r interested how the movie is..have u satisfied with ur investment of time and money in that movie..which matters for the audience..so dont give any statement like a fool...

ReplyDeleteBharat was released in an extended holiday weekend and with around 2500 screens extra than what mission mangal has got. Also ticket prices were high. Thatvtoo with No competition at all in Hindi & in southern states. Whereas Mm has got a 4 star rated tough competition in the form of Batla house in bollywood & 7 BlockBusters movies catering to full house audience in south or Nerkonda parvai, komali - Tamil, Ranarangam,xt road - Telugu, Kurukshetram - kannada, Tanneermathan, ambili, kalkki- Malayalam, once upon a time in - Hollywood etc.im from south, what I can clearly see is that the likes of Salman, Aamir,srk markets their movies very well in south, wall posters, newspaper ads, promotions etc.. but Akshay lacks in this department. People love him in our part but they don't even know whether his movies r released or not due to lack of good marketing. MM released in Kerala without even subtitles & there wasn't even a single poster or flexes put in the multiplexes & single screens where it was released. Really pathetic from Fox star . They r ignoring the south especially Kerala,& TN where they can generate huge income like dangal, padmavat, sultan etc did
