Batla House 2nd Day (Friday) Collection Early Trends, Good Hold!

Batla House has shown a good hold on 2nd Day (Friday) as early trends for the day are coming in. Film has registered drop less than 50% and now should show jump on Saturday and Sunday to put up a respectable extended first weekend total. Good hold also suggests film ground level report is on the positive side.

Batla House has reported a drop of 45-50% on Friday from Thursday. Drop is significant but again the film is coming off from National holiday period. Hence, any drop of 50% or less is good. Film should gather pace again from Saturday onward.

Occupancy Report for Friday (Samples only) -

Morning - 15% (Thu - 25%)

Noon + Afternoon - 30% (Thu - 60%)

Evening + Night - 40% (Thu - 74%)

Early trends suggest Batla House Second Day business is trending towards 7.5-8 crore nett mark region. Again, it is early days as major reports from interiors are awaited. Plus, night shows are just started and hence reports are awaited. Hence, final count may vary.

Kindly Note - Estimates are considered from very limited samples at this moment. Hence, the actual may vary accordingly.

  1. It will have an extended weekend of 39-40 crores which is good for its budget and will have first week of 55-60 crores. A lifetime of 72-75 crores will ensure it is hit at box office

    1. Budget is 75 cr, so on which basis will it be hit with 70-75cr business?

  2. Not that I have anything against John but I just don't understand where is this clash that movie buffs had been talking all about. Clearly Batla House is performing at a very low level. Where Mission Mangal might get into 100 Cr club by Sunday itself & probably 180 Cr lifetime, Batla House looks like it'll wrap up around 75-80 Crores lifetime business. Barely scored 22 crores in 2 days & 50 Crore weekend target is definitely not happening. And when Saaho arrives, there won't be any screens left. Yet all this time it was being billed as clash of humongous proportion. Many trade analysts are now even saying that some of the double digit collection on Day 1 was the tailwind business received from those whose couldn't get Mission Mangal tickets. John seriously needs to learn the art of story telling.
