The Lion King is a smash HIT in India as film has shown outstanding hold on 2nd Friday (8th day) at box office. Film registered absolute minuscule drop from 1st Thursday and is now set to zoom past 100 crore nett mark in India.
The Lion King has collected 5.2 crore nett approx on day 8. Drop from day 7 is less than 10%. Film total now stands at 86.7 crore nett approx. Film should easily go past 100 crore nett by the end of second weekend.
Film lifetime business can go anywhere now considering the exceptional hold on 2nd Friday. Film is on track to touch 150 crore nett in India. Who knows film can collect beyond also. Film is certain to emerge as a Super HIT and may end up as a Blockbuster also.
