The Lion King has surpassed all box office expectations and registered extraordinary jump on Saturday (2nd day) at box office India. Film has reported a jump in the region of 70-75% on Saturday from Friday. This is monumental considering film already collected in double digit on Friday.
The Lion King has added 19 crore nett approx on day 2. Film total after two days is 30 crore nett approx. Film is on track to touch 50 crore nett for the opening weekend now. Film is a Smash HIT unless things go extremely wrong from Monday onward.
The Lion King should cross 70 crore nett in the first week. It can go beyond 75 crore nett also depending on the hold on 1st Monday. Film is sure shot to emerge as a HIT. As for Super HIT status and possibility of touching 100 crore nett in India, it is still early days. All depends on how film holds on 1st Monday and how it lands on 2nd Friday.

Excellent growth , biggest I have seen for a Hollywood movie that too of a Disney family movie. Seeing the box-office of jungle book and this Saturday growth this movie has potential 😊
