The Lion King 2nd Saturday (9th Day) Collection in India, Outstanding Jump Again!

The Lion King is running at Indian Box Office like a bullet train now. Film is simply unstoppable. Film has shown outstanding jump again on 2nd Saturday (9th day). Jump from 2nd Friday is in excess of 100% which is mindboggling stuff.

The Lion King has collected a huge 11.5 crore nett on day 9. Film total thus stands at whopping 98.35 crore nett approx. As we write film has already touched 100 crore nett in India. Film second weekend total is heading towards an excellent 30+ crore nett.


The Lion King should touch 125 crore nett by the end of second week itself. Film lifetime business is now trending towards a staggering 150 crore nett or even more in India. Film will emerge as a Super HIT or Blockbuster by the end of its theatrical run in India.

Week 1 - 81.5 crore nett

Week 2 - 


Fri - 5.35 crore nett


Sat - 11.5 crore nett

Total - 98.35 crore nett approx

  1. As expected Lion King had another excellent Saturday and Sunday will be big too. Another smash hit from Disney after captain marvel, endgame and Spiderman. Now Disney India which is the sub part of Disney in India will be the most profitable studio this year. Soon like the cable TV industry Bollywood will also be run by multinational companies. Which is good because audience is the real winner here they get to have more choices and also bright lights of this industry can spread their wings and mixed with others bights lights to have that high quality movies that the audience always wanted.

    Globalization is a force which cannot be stopped in this day an age.

  2. Wow I bet this will do more than 150 crores now so now top 2 films will be Hollywood in top 5

    Bollywood is suffering bad really bad

    Such numbers from Hollywood will only grow in coming years as more people become educated and are comfortable with English movies
