Why De De Pyaar De is a HIT at box office?

We have received few emails regarding the verdict of De De Pyaar De film. It is heard that some section of media is trying to pull the film down. Some are saying film is Average and some are even stating it as a Flop.

But in reality film is heading towards HIT zone and most likely to attend it by the end of 3rd weekend. Even if film trends badly from here on still it will end as a Semi Hit at box office.

DDPD need around 93-94 crore nett or more to attain hit status. That is the cut-off mark. That means film needs to earn distributor share in excess of 45 crores in India. Ideally film needed 50 crore as DS to attain Clean Hit status.

Now coming to DDPD box office performance so far. Film has collected 82+ crore nett in first 13 days of business in India. If we go by the current trending then film lifetime collection is on track to touch 95 crore nett in India.

In fact film should touch 92-93 crore nett or bit more by the big release of Bharat. Hence, 95 crore nett in India is realistic target. However, if somehow Bharat gets mixed to negative report, then DDPD might even aim for 100 crore nett mark in India.

Since DDPD is performing decently in single screens also, hence final distributor share of the film might be in the region of 46-47 crores. It means makes are into profit when non-theatrical and overseas revenues are taken into account. As for distributors/sub-distributors they will break even and some might have a decent profit.

  1. This film is liked by the audience, so will probably be classed as a Hit when theatrical run finishes.
Movie budget is a bit on the high side, but good collection so far.

  3. If De De Pyaar De is hit with budget of 75 cr & collection with 90cr then Kesari is superhit/blockbuster with budget 100cr & with collection 155cr.
