PM Narendra Modi and India's Most Wanted First Week Box Office Collection Report

PM Narendra Modi had a decent first week at box office. Film started in lower note on opening day but showed good trending from Saturday onward. Film has put up decent showing in week one and now needs another good trending in week 2.

Modi has collected 18.4 crore nett in week one. Film should cross 20 crore nett inside second weekend. Film should touch 25 crore nett in its lifetime business in India. However in ideal case scenario film needs to touch 30 crore nett or go beyond.

A 30 crore nett business will give film a distributor share of 14 crores which is a good recovery from this medium budgeted films. Then there is non-theatrical rights which will help makers to recover their investment. Film needs another 11-12 crore nett from here on and hope that majority of that is recovered before the big release Bharat.

India's Most Wanted has emerged as a latest disaster at box office. Film started horrifically on Friday and trended badly after that. Film is outrightly rejected by the audiences. Scenario is such that film may not even touch 15 crore nett in India. Who would have thought about that. Ideally 15 crore nett should have been breached in opening weekend itself.

IMW has collected 11.5 crore nett in the first week. Film lifetime business is all set to remain inside 15 crore nett. At most film will touch 15 crore mark and may not collect significant after that. Film lifetime distributor share will remain under 7 crores. This is simply shocking.
