  1. Until 4 years back, highest grossing movie in India was Bollywood's PK at 340 Cr. Highest grossing Indian movie outside Bollywood was Enthiran at 187 Cr. Highest grossing Hollywood film in India was Fast & Furious 5 at 94Cr. Since then, Bollywood has crawled only upto 387Cr for Dangal while, both Bahubali 1 & 2 surpassed it (Bahubali 2 infact has a gross of over 1100, nearly 3 times that of Dangal). Enthiran's sequel 2.0 has surpassed it with 416 Crores. And now, Avengers-Endgame will most likely go past it. Everyone is taking a lead over Bollywood which is still caught in a time-wrap busy rehashing remakes of South Movies (or worse, it's own 70s movies). It is completely devoid of any new ideas & absolutely averse to change, or risk taking. It still relies on Holiday weekend & enhanced ticket rates to get people in cinemas & even a 25% opening occupancy on a holiday is considered a "Good Start". Today, Bollywood is barely making the top 5 list in India. It won't be long when even in Hindi heartland, Bollywood will compete with regional cinema for space.

Change is the only constant in universe. Anyone averse to change should be ready to become part of history then.
