Ranveer Singh and the 83’ squad head to Dharamshala for training; film kicks off on May 15th, 2019 in London

We are updated about the film 83’ where Ranveer Singh will portray the role of the World Cup (Cricket) winning Indian captain Kapil Dev. This film aims to portray Kapil and to relive the glory days when India won the prestigious title for the first time.

Now, the latest update is that the team has headed to Dharamshala for the last leg of intense training before the movie kicks off on May 15th, 2019 in London.


The actors will go through an intense training for 10 days long.  Also, the members from the original world cup squad will also be present to train the actors. 

Reports are that Ranveer has been training hard to get into the character of Kapil and has been practicing the cricketing shots for two hours every day.  The team has been training from 7am- 10am everyday in Mumbai. 

Directed by Kabir Khan and written by National award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, '83' will be co-produced by Phantom Films and the founder and managing director of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), Vishnu Vardhan Induri.
