Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to star in Coolie No 1; film to roll in a few months

The Dhawans are back! Father son duo David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan are reuniting for Coolie No 1. Along with David, Farhad Samji will be on board for the penning the dialogues.  The leading lady of Varun will be none other than Sara Ali Khan.

Reports have crept in that Coolie No 1 will not be a remake or a sequel of the original one but will have a lot of humor that will cater to the present generation audience. The original film included Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, which released in 1995, became a huge hit. Both Varun and Sara have to step into the shoes of Govinda and Karishma but since it isn’t a remake the expectations will differ. 

The film is set to roll in a couple of months. The locations aren’t locked in yet but might be in India or abroad. 

Meanwhile, Varun is currently engaged in Kalank and also in Remo D’ Souza’s Street Dancer. Speculations are that only after completing these two projects, Varun will start working on his dad’s project. 

Both father-son duo has worked before in Judwaa 2 and Main Tera Hero and Coolie No 1 will be the third time where the duo will be coming together. On the other hand, we are excited to see Varun and Sara for the first time on screen. Are you guys too?
