Parineeti Chopra replaces Shraddha Kapoor in the Saina Nehwal Biopic

Saina Nehwal has brought many laurels and honor to India in the sport of Badminton and a biopic has been already planned by filmmakers Amole Gupte and Bhusan Kumar. The kick-off the biopic had already been done in September last year and the role of Saina was played by none other than Shraddha Kapoor. 

But the latest big news is that Shraddha has been replaced by Parineeti Chopra and the latter will start training for it soon.  Shraddha after kick-starting the film had suffered from dengue and was rested for a while. The biopic had undergone a break and it was supposed to be resumed in April 2019.  But the fact is that Shraddha has a lot of projects in her hand now. She is currently engaged with projects like Chhichhore and Street Dancer. Also, not forgetting Baaghi 3 and Saaho. So, the actress had no other choice but to back out from the sports biopic as she wasn’t able to give any dates to it.

Meanwhile, reports are that the team is happy to have Parineeti in the role. Parineeti too is really excited and looking forward to it. She expresses that she is delighted to get an opportunity to portray a strong and a powerful girl like Saina who has put our country (India) on the world map. She also reveals that she is ready to put in all the training and the hard work that comes in learning of the game and portraying Saina on screen.
