URI - The Surgical Strike has emerge as a mammoth blockbuster at box office. Film second week run so far is simply unprecedented. Film is on a dream run and lifetime collection can go anywhere from here on. Even 200 crore mark can't be ruled out now.
URI has shown huge 70-75% growth on 2nd Saturday. Film has collected an approx 13.25 crore nett on day 9. Film total collection thus stands at approx 91.8 crore nett mark. Film will now zoom past 100 crore mark and that also in 10 days flat.
2018 has been a year for content oriented films. 2019 is no different and in fact if proper content is delivered then film will be a big success. Latest example is URI. Now no excuse for makers. Deliver honest product, otherwise it will fail at box office.
URI will definitely cross 150 crore mark in India. In fact current trending suggest, film should touch 175 crore nett in its theatrical run in India. However, if film hold its own against the biggie Manikarnika then it can even challenge for whopping 200 crore mark. Don't remember last time when a film made on moderate budget made such huge impact at box office.

ReplyDeleteI would want every indian from north to south east to west watch URI that would be slap on face of all the pseudo liberals bad mouthing the movie
ReplyDeleteJai Hind ....
Under present government, one thing is sure that nationalism and patriotism is very well alive
ReplyDeleteMore patriotic films should be made ! Enough of stupid films
ReplyDeleteURI will hit 160 crores now massive for film with such low budget
The young actors should now boldly ask for holidays and even better release dates and many will support them
First day they might lose but they willl win the battle
A yesteryear superstar Srk who is a small star today is still getting holidays based on his past performance when in fact in last 5 years he has not grossed 150 in India and most films have struggled to cross 100
He is single handedly responsible for making many distributors go bankrupt with fan jhms and Zero
On other hand look at films like URI they are doing much better so why can’t they get better release dates ? Or Simmba ? Even Sanju achieved what it could on non holidays
So let Srk take a back seat and join league of tier 2 stars
