Manikarnika Tuesday (5th Day) Collection Update for Morning shows

Manikarnika is showing good trending at box office at this moment but that is not looking enough right now. Film needs a more than a good trending and that also for first 2 weeks atleast.

Manikarnika started Tuesday (5th day) on a slow note. Film registered an occupancy of 14% or so for the morning shows. Drop from Monday is around 15%.

There will be growth as the day progesses. Film will register healthy occupancy in evening and night time. Film will cross 50 crore mark today. This is an achievement for a film in most cases. But in case of Manikarnika film needs much more than a 50.

Budget is on higher side and film needs a minimum of 100 crore from India theatrical itself. May be bit more also. Anything less than 100 crore means, film may fail to recover its huge cost.

Occupancy Report of Manikarnika for Morning shows -

Tuesday -> 14%

Monday -> 16-17%

Sunday -> 51-52%

Saturday -> 50%

Friday -> 20%

  1. WOW....seriously don't know what to say for our media......They are now trying to save Kangana's movie, just 2 articles back they (Addatoday) said that it need 120cr from theatrical run to recover investment (check Monday (4th) update and 1st weekend collection articles) and now you are saying that it need 100cr to be in safe zone.......in just 1 day you reduce 20cr.......why???....because Monday trend shows that it is difficult for movie to cross 100cr mark.......
    If it is Salman Khan movie then you keep on increasing it recovery amount.......140cr Budget movie collects 173cr and yet it is not clean hit......WOW

  3. Distributors right was sold for 65cr. So the recover the cost the movie has to earn around 125 to 135cr net income depending on the ratio of earning in single screens or multiplex. Because multiplex takes away more than 50% of the net income from the distributors.

  4. Budget is just too high so will be a Flop unfortunately.

    Films should follow the example of small budget movies like URI Badhaai Ho Stree Andhadhun, their budget gave the films a chance to be successful.
