Thugs of Hindostan releases 28 December in China, PadMan releases 14 December

Two big films release date in China is confirmed after the big announcement of 2.0 just few moments back. Those two films are Thugs of Hindostan and PadMan.

Year 2018 saw the highest no. of Indian movie getting released in China. But most of them bite the dust in the neighboring country. 102 Not Out just released in China, but business of that is also quite poor. Now hopes are with PadMan and finally TOH.

Coming to PadMan first. Akshay Kumar's Toilet got released in wide showings across China. But film failed to make any big impact despite getting one of the widest releases among Indian films. Yes, film crossed $10 million mark in China, but is no more a landmark right now. Hence, we hope that PadMan changes that scenario and emerges as a big Hit in China. PadMan releases on 14th December, 2018.

Now coming to big one and that is Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan. Aamir Khan has big fan following in China. His last two releases Dangal and Secret Superstar did Blockbuster business in China. Even his previous releases 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 and PK did very good business, when no Indian film managed to make inroad in China Box Office.

Hence, expectation is huge from TOH. TOH failed miserably in India and Overseas, and it will be some consolation if film manages to go good business in China. Film has been the biggest buy out ever for any Indian film in China and we do hope that film does well, otherwise it might become one of the biggest loses for Chinese distributors.
