After ‘TOH’, Amitabh Bachchan starts shooting for his football film ‘Jhund’

After ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ which didn’t go well in the Box Office, Amitabh Bachchan is back to action.

The Bollywood icon has started shooting for  Nagaraj Manjule’s football film ‘Jhund’.

This will be the film where Mr. Bachchan will play the role of legendary football coach Vijay Barse.

The reports are that while preparing for the role, Amitabh has taken football tips from son Abhishek, who is a huge fan of the game.

Mr. Bachchan said:

“Not that I am not familiar with the game. I’ve played football when I was in Kolkata. I am looking forward to working with Nagraj Manjule. His Sairat was a game-changer. At this stage of my career I look forward to working with directors who can bring out a new facet to acting abilities,”

Speculations are that the film won’t have much of Amitabh’s role on the football filed but son Abhishek might play the younger version of his father.

Vijay Barse is the founder of Slum Soccer, a Nagpur-based organization dedicated towards the upliftmen children through football matches.
