2.0, one of the biggest releases of the year, staring two big superstars of Indian film industry, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, along with Amy Jackson in lead roles, lands in trouble. The sci-fi film’s trailer depicts Akshay, who plays the ‘evil’ tells that people using cell phones are criminal, and the radiation that emits from it affects birds and animals.
Now, the reports are that Cellular Operations Association of India(COAI) has filed a complaint against 2.0 makers for showcasing anti scientific attitude in the film.
They have filed a complaint with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting calling it as a false depiction of cellular technology.
Also, they have asked CBFC to reconsider the certification.
The buzz is that although the film has been given certified by the CBFC, COAI doesn’t want the film to be released until the issue is addresses and they receive a response from the 2.0 film makers.
Until now, there hasn’t been any response from the 2.0 team and the film is only a day away from release. The theatres have already been receiving pre bookings in huge numbers.
2.0 releases tomorrow, 29th November 2018.
