The man behind 'The Villain' (Cruel and Merciless - John Clive) in Thugs of Hindostan!

After the revelation of Amitabh Bachchan’s Khudabaksh and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s Zafira teaser character of Thugs of Hindostan , Yash Raj Films gave us another teaser of, the villain, 'cruel and merciless - John Clive'.

The villain of the film is being played by British actor, Lloyd Owen. This is also his debut performance in Bollywood.

Lloyd is best known for playing Indiana Jones’ father in the television series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles during in 1992 and 1993. He has also worked in the popular British sitcom series Coupling. Lloyd appeared in 25 episodes in the British TV series Monarch of the Glen. He also appeared in the American TV series The Originals.

Lloyd is also seen in a few films. He was seen in the 2006 film Miss Potter, the biopic of children’s author Beatrix Potter. In the film, he played the character of William Heelis, the love interest of Beatrix.

Lloyd also featured in the 2011 American-Canadian film Apollo 18. The film was a found footage horror film based on the premise that the cancelled Apollo 18 mission landed on the moon but never returned to Earth. He played the role of Commander Nathan Walker in the film.

Thugs of Hindostan is a film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. It is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. It is scheduled to be released on 8th November 2018.
