Sultan China Sunday (3rd Day) and First Weekend Box Office Collection Estimates.

Sultan collection on Sunday (3rd day) in China is steady. Film has reported nominal drop of around 10% from Saturday. Trending is not that bad. But problem is film collections are in lower level starting from Friday and till the end of Sunday. Another issue is film has 37k showings on Friday but only 19.5k showings on Sunday. This is not a good sign.

Sultan will need good hold on 1st Monday and 1st Tuesday. If film holds well on these two days then film has a chance of collecting decent to good numbers in China. Otherwise film will wrap up by the end of first week itself as it will hardly get any good showings for second week.

Sultan box office collection is bit shocking for all. Bajrangi Bhaijaan performed excellent in China and hence expectation from Sultan is big. Trade was expecting opening of Sultan at the level of Bajrangi Bhaijaan or even more. But film failed to live upto the expectations. We simply don't know the exact reasons. But this is true that audiences are restraining from watching Sultan in theaters in China.

Collection Breakup -

Day 1 -> $0.92 million

Day 2 -> $1.09 million

Day 3 -> $0.97 million (expected).

Total -> $2.98 million (expected).

  2. A film like Bahubaali failed in China,they have their own choice of movie for example Secret superstar was a big hit in China but in India it was an average movie.

  4. Chinese people already watched DANGAL that's why no good response to SULTAN also DANGAL was a real life story and also better than SULTAN. Maybe that's the main reason for SULTAN not doing well in china.
