Sanju 2nd Monday (11th Day) Box Office Collection. Solid Hold.

Sanju has collected an approx 9.25-9.5 crore nett on Second Monday (11th day) at box office. Film registered an occupancy drop of 10% from 2nd Friday. However, ticket prices are lower on Monday from Friday hence, business drop is more and is in the region of 25-30%.

Sanju total collection currently stands at approx 274.75-275 crore nett mark. Film is all set to touch 300 crore mark on 3rd Friday now. Film will in fact be close to 300 crore by the end of second week itself. It may miss the mark by just few crores.

2nd Monday trend confirms that Sanju should touch 350 crore mark in its theatrical run in India unless film shows big drop from 3rd week onward. Dangal looks out of reach now and to challenge that film needs extra-ordinary trending from here on.

Had film got released in Holiday period it would have easily crossed Dangal lifetime business. May be even become first Bollywood film to touch 400 crores. But it looks out of reach now.

Collection Breakup -

Week 1 - 202.5 crore nett.

Week 2 -

Fri - 12.9 crore nett.

Sat - 22 crore nett.

Sun - 28.05 crore nett.

Mon - 9.25-9.5 crore nett.

Total - 274.7-274.95 cr nett (approx).

  1. Could if this are probabilities if Dangal had XMAS and New Years day other than Sunday it could have crossed 400 Crore itself. If Gadar was released today it could have crossed 800 Crores. So leave could and if focus what is actually happening.

Note:Race3 jaisi movies ka 4 din ka diya toh bhi chalega kyunki 4 din baad sallu ka zero stardom hota hai

  7. Dear Ankur,

Why you always mentioned that ke agar holidays mein release hoti to dangal ka record tod diya hota aur 400 crore bhi kar liya hota. Yeh nahi hota hai bhai jo abhi hai usi par baat karo, phir dangal ke waqt to demonetization bhi to chal raha thaa (Notebandi) aur GST ka faayda bhi nahi mila, yeh sab sirf kehney ki baatein hai yeh hota to woh hogaya hota woh hota to yeh no gaya hota.

SANJU kisi bhi surat mein DANGAL se kam nahi hai dono bhi BEST movies hai agar dekha jaaye to DANGAL jaisi movie ka highest net grosser hona to badi baat hai jis type ki movie hai aur SANJU mein woh sab kuch hai jo ek commercial film mein hona chahiye. Both are good movies no doubt. So let's celebrate the success of SANJU.

No if no but, only SACH.

  9. Let's be honest Dangal is far more better than Sanju, the kind of hard effort and hard work Aamir khan puts into that movie, I think he deserve that top ranking.

    2. As they say, no body will remember the Oscar or the box office collection figures after 10 years, but every one will remember the movie and how good it was.
