Tiger Zinda Hai has shown fantastic growth of 30% on 2nd Saturday (9th day) from previous day. Jump is very good and film is again expected to show big growth on 2nd Sunday.
Tiger has collected around 14.9 crore nett on day 9. Thus, film total business after 9 days is approx 232.45 crore nett. Film is all set to touch or cross 250 crore nett by the end of 10th day.
Tiger is on track to collect 300 crore nett or more in its lifetime business in India. Film needs to push big on 2nd Sunday and even 2nd Monday to collect as much as possible and challenge the likes of all time Bollywood grossers.

SO Finally year is ending with a movie which is doing collections as per its potential. Golmaal Again also did immensely well to cross 200 cr exceeding all expectations. At the time of its release, 150 cr was the target to beat but it continued its dream run to cross the 200 cr landmark.

Around 250 films have released this year and only 18 films have managed to stay afloat which shows a dismal percentage of 7% success ratio. If we only include Hit films and above then the success percentage drops down to 4 % as there are only 10 films which have managed to get HIT and above box office verdict.
After the dismal box office performance of Tubelight, Salman Khan returned back to form with a blockbuster like Tiger Zinda Hai. Shah Rukh Khan had one semi hit in Raees and another failure in Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Varun Dhawan scored two super hits at the box office and made a massive leap in terms of stardom as the openings of his films increased considerably this year. Akshay Kumar also had a great year with a super hit like TEPK and a hit like Jolly LLB 2. Ajay Devgn had a major blockbuster like Golmaal Again alongside an under-performer like Baadshaho.
After the ginormous success of Dangal in China, Aamir Khan had a so-so year at the domestic box office with an average performer like Secret Superstar.
Biggest Surprise Hit of the year was Fukrey Returns followed by Hindi Medium and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan.
Two small budget films which surprised with its box office numbers although at small levels – Newton and Lipstick Under My Burkha.

As a matter of fact there is a huge chunk of family audiences that is waking up to the film now, what with Salman Khan fans already been through with it and now further spreading a very good word of mouth. It is not the loyalists but the new audience base which has started frequenting theatres from the second weekend onwards and that is reflecting in further momentum that the footfalls have gained. 👍👍👍👍👍

Salman recovered well this year after the Tubelight debacle. TZH will be around 330 crore. Good result and gives boost to his Race 3. However on a global scale this movie is dwarfed by so many other movies.
