Raid starring Ajay Devgn releases 20 April, 2018

Here is big news of the day. Raid has been officially annouced. It will star Ajay Devgn in lead role. Ajay will play the role of an Income Tax Officer in the film. Film will be directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar. Film is slated for release on 20 April, 2018.

Raid story is written by Ritesh Shah. Shooting of the film will commence from September 2017. Ajay Devgn has already two big films lined up in Baadshaho and Golmaal Again. Both these film will get released in 2017. Apart from above mentioned three films, Ajay Devgn will also do Taanaji which is an ambitious project. Taanaji will get released in 2019. Ajay Devgn has some interesting films lined up in coming times.

Coming to Raid. Film will be set is 1980s in Uttar Pradesh. The film’s story will be based on a real-life incident revolving around the most popular Income Tax raids in the country. 

Director Raj Kumar Gupta states, “Raid is a story that needs to be told on the big screen. I am looking forward to my collaboration with Ajay sir, Bhushanji, Kumarji and Abhishek on this film.” Producer Bhushan Kumar further adds, “Ajay Devgn is a great actor. We have produced Baadshaho and are now happy to be also producing Raid. Raid is a content driven film and we are excited to produce it.”
