When Dhoom 3 collected a humongous 188.6 crore nett in first week (7 days) at box office in 2013 it looked like this record will remain for some time in coming years. Such collections are never heard of earlier. Even PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan failed to emulated that record. However, Sultan has not only smashed that record but also by some margin.

Sultan has collected nearly 209 crore nett in first 7 days, nearly significant 20 crores more than Dhoom 3. Sultan now sits at top and it will need some getting by upcoming films to overhaul that. In fact average collection per day for 7 days is nearly 30 crores which is simply out of this world. This is never heard of earlier. In fact Sultan in first 5 days collected over 30 crores which is unprecedented.
