Toilet: Ek Prem Katha 8th Day Collection Early Trends.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has registered further drop on 2nd Friday (8th day) at box office as early trends for the day is coming in. Drop is inevitable as it is start of week two and very obvious. Film should see growth again from 2nd Saturday onward.

Toilet opened to around 15-20% occupancy in Morning shows of day 8. After that film registered limited jump in Noon to record occupancy of around 20-25%. Film further saw jump from Evening onward and recorded an occupancy of around 30-35% for rest of the day.

Occupancy drop of the film is not much from 1st Thursday. But screening is reduced and hence, there will be significant business drop.

Occupancy Report of TEPK for 2nd Friday (Samples only) -

Morning - 15-20%
Noon - 20-25%
Evening-Night - 30-35%

Early trend suggest, Toilet 8th day collection is heading towards 3.5-4 crore nett region. These are very early estimated from limited samples we have and actual may vary. Reports from interiors are awaited for the day. Hope film performs well there.

  1. One thing is for sure. Akki fans should stand with their heads up. Akshay gave india Bollywood a boost after a drought year with only 2 big hits. Whatever the movie should collect high or low most important thing is its a Big Hit and a 100 cr grosser already. Am a big fan of Akshay after Ajay Devgn Sir and will always wish for him the best. Congrats to all.

    Baadshaho

Let’s analyze the pros, cons, budget, and other economics of Baadshaho to get an inclination of which side of the fence it’s more likely to land.

    Advantages:

1.) The trailer has been among the most liked this year and the dialogues, too, have caught on really well.

2.) Films with a desi flavor are all in vogue. Just look at the recent hits – Dangal, Jolly LLB 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhani, Hindi Medium, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

3.) Ajay Devgn is still one of only six Hindi film superstars in the county and commands a huge pan-India fan-following.

4.) Emraan Hashmi’s fan-following, especially with the single-screen audience, is underrated.

5.) Milan Luthria is one of Bollywood’s most-underrated Directors, with an enviable track record with both the critics and at the box-office. His last film may have flopped, but both his releases before that were huge hits.

6.) It’s been ages since the Hindi film audience has got a good action film or a multi-starrer for that matter, which could work in Baadhshaho’s favor big time if its content and action scenes click.

7.) It’s one-of-the-most anticipated films in small towns and rural areas, with several single screens having displayed the posters several weeks prior to the film’s release.

8.) The smart economics makes recovery for a multi-starrer of this kind fairly safe.
