Dilwale Storms Overseas Box Office. Worldwide Collection Update after 10 days.

Dilwale may have performed below par in first 10 days at box office in India. But film has stormed overseas box office and thus put up a huge worldwide collection in first 10 days. Film has collected an approx $16.75 Million [INR 111 crores] in first 10 days in Overseas. Film is doing historic business in Gulf alone. Rest also business is extremely good. As Christmas fall in second weekend film did terrific business again there.

Film has collected around INR 168 crores [INR 124+ crore nett] in India itself in first 10 days. Thus worldwide collection after 10 days is whopping INR 279 crores. Film is set to cross 300 crore gross mark very soon. It will be interesting to see whether film can enter 400 crore club as Indian theatrical business is rapidly coming down.

  3. @ adda today please clarify your point on one side you mention dilwale has collected 124 cr in 10 days then you mention it collected 168 crores plus 111 cr overseas, 124 plus 111 is 235 cr, where did 168cr come from

  4. Dear Ankur, After analyzing the business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, I think once again it has been proved (Lagaan and Gadar in 2001) that 2 well made big films can survive together on a holiday period release. Obviously the business of both the films are affected but overall they have performed better. Now, the movie with a good WOM will go for long run like we saw BM in this clash but its not like that Dilwale has been outperformed as after facing so much odds it has earned a good 125crs in india and a whopping 279crs worldwide. So, the message is loud and clear that if your movie is on good quality you will score even with a clash but your collections will be surely effected. Now, those who are bashing SRK over Dilwale collections for them I will say just one line that SRK has created that much of stardom that even an average moviel like Dilwale has also crossed 130crs easily and will continue to do more. The problem is when SRK do masala entertainer the haters want quality and logic and when SRK does quality movies like swades, chak de, MNIK and FAN (to be released in april 2016) they want masala enteratiner. I feel SRK has got the status like Modi ji where the haters know they cant match his level so best thing is to spread negativity only. Anyways, as a SRK fan I honestly admit Dilwale was meant for full entertainment and I am very much sure that FAN will serve the quality for which SRK is famous. All of us know that in his career of 25yrs SRK has done lot of experiments with his movies sometime he got success other time he got failed but the best thing is he has always tried to bring variety in his movies and will continue to do that. He has been the most consistent performer because as far as I know the last flop by SRK came in long way back in 2005 with "Paheli". So, 10 long yrs without a flop (He will continue to go with this form), I think the haters might have got the answer.

  5. Agar Clash Nahi Hota to India Mein 200+ Ka Collection To Pakka Hota. All Credit Goes To Bajirao Mastani. I Liked Both Movies, but Bajirao Mastani Has Upper Hand on Good Script & Good Direction. Dilwale Could have more Romance + Comedy Which is Lack in the film. Still Good Collection in Overseas Market. Overall Dilwale is Superhit Worldwide (In India Film Should Collect At Least 150-160 For Hit Status).

  8. Everyone is speaking about the content - Dilwale is a classic case of a film affected by negative propaganda. Logic is very simple - if the content is bad for a film, it will not perform anywhere. But the Eastern & Southern India, the film is on a record breaking spree. But North & West - the film is not performing to its optimum potential. Also in overseas - the film is one of the most liked film in recent time. That means the overseas audience don't understand a film ? Or its bcoz of SRK that Dilwale is doing record breaking biz overseas ?
