Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Screen Count for Second Week.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has managed to retain good amount of screen count for second week running. Film has no major challenge in theaters this week except Hollywood big offering in Spectre. PRDP has retained around 40-45% screening from first week which is very good achievement. Around 1800-2000 screens are available right now which is more than enough to put big numbers at box office. Question is whether PRDP can perform to its potential is another question.

PRDP has put up around 175 crore nett in extended first week (8 days) from all languages. Film is now almost certain to easily cross 200 crore nett at box office, unless film registers big fall from 2nd Friday onward. Second Weekend business will determine where film will stand against all the biggies in recent time. First job for the film is to go past 200 crore nett. After that it will be interesting to see how much steam is left in PRDP to go far.

  8. Even though, PRDP is an under performer, when compared with Salman Khan movies & specially when compared to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, still it may end up between 220-220 Cr bracket. I mean, how many 200+ Cr movies do we have? So, the business done will still be considered as huge. Only negatives would be, comparatively lesser business when compared with the higher budget of the movie.
P.S.: I am not Salman or SRK fan, but facts will always be facts.

  10. Dear Azeem bhai, I m not SRK hater, he is also a great superstar so Is SK. Fortunately, these superstars are the power and energy of Indian Film industry. I hope all the best to Dilwale but friend, PRDP is also s big hit and usually production houses inflate the movie's cost to represent quality. I again suggest you to remain happy and celebrate for the betterment on Indian film industry.
