As Raees and Sultan both are confirmed for release on EID 2016, it has turn into some ugly war between the production houses YRF and Excel. From this development most hurt will be the two superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who have turned into good friends now. But all is not in their hand now. As Salman is paid heavily for Sultan he is not entitle to diktat the release date of the film as per contract. Same goes for SRK with excel. Both production houses are more or less right in their own way. But for betterment for both the houses, it would be much better if one of them backs out. Hope no egos are hurt for that. There is still lot of good alternate dates are available to release their films.
As per YRF, Sultan is planned long time back and even Salman stated in press con of Kick that his next with Aditya Chopra will release on EID 2016. As per Excel they have already given official date of release as EID 2016 as early as February 2015. But my dear friends where are the screens for accommodating such big films simultaneously. A big film needs around 3000 screens atleast and from where one will get 6000 significant screens on time of release. Nowadays majority of business come in first week itself. Hence if clash happens both films will lose and one with poorer word of mouth will be affected much more as films run into second week.
Even though both production houses have confirmed the release dates as EID 2016. We still hope that one of the film backs out for benefit of both. Hope Salman and SRK discusses among themselves along the due course of time whenever they meet and find a middle path and request their respective makers. Hope YRF and Excel shed off their egos. Hope sanity prevails. Till then enjoy the most touted mother of all clashes in recent years.
