Gabbar is Back is holding pretty well on 2nd day (Saturday) at box office as early reports for the day is coming. Film although registered a significant drop in day time in around 20% from previous day, have performed well from Evening onward and thus have compensated well in later part of the day. Evening and Night shows have performed more or less in the same range as first day. In fact Night shows of Saturday are better than Friday Night shows. So, overall drop is around 10-15% for the day when samples are compared.
Gabbar started Saturday with occupancy of around 30-35% in Morning shows. Film picked up after that in Noon shows to record occupancy in the region of 35-40%. Occupancy for Evening and Night shows are in the region of 55-60% which is again a good pick up from Noon time.
Places like Delhi and Gurgaon which performed averagely on day one, performed better on Saturday. Kanpur and Lucknow remained in average range for second day running. However significant drop is registered in places like Mumbai and Pune which got benefitted on day one because of Maharashtra Day Holiday.
Though it is too early to make any predictions, but looking at early trends Gabbar is heading for 11-12 crore nett range for day two. Actual will vary and will be known once major single screen datas are received. Thus, Gabbar has hold well on second day and now need to push big on Sunday for a decent to good weekend at box office.
