Let's answer the budget of Gabbar is Back first. Film landing cost is about 70-75 crore. Budget is not confirmed officially, but as per internal sources of the film it is just around that figure. Maker of Gabbar has managed to recover around 35 crore from Satellite rights already and 7 crore from music. Numbers are big considering today as there is a big slash in price of Satellite rights. Luckily satellite rights of Gabbar is Back is sold back some time. Official statement on that price is not available, but it is close to that estimated figure.
Moreover makers have sold the theatrical rights of the film to Mr. Mangat in around 45-50 crore. That means makers are already into profit of around 15-20 crore. As for Mr. Mangat he is assuming that Gabbar will collect 90 crore nett at least in India. He is assuming business will be more than that. If Gabbar fails to collect 90-95 crore nett then he might be in trouble. Detailed business economics of Gabbar will be done later.
Coming to screen count of Gabbar is Back. It is still another 10 days to release of the film. Final allocation will be done just 1 or 2 day before the film release. But it is confirmed that film will be biggest single screen release of the year. Also it will get significant screen count in multiplexes. Film is certain to cross 3500 screens in India [single screens + multiplexes] and there is a chance of touching 4000 screens in final count. So, this will be biggest release of Akshay Kumar till date and that is extremely good news for all his fans.
