The Avengers - Age of Ultron has taken big opening at box office on Friday (1st day) despite being a normal working day. Film has collected an estimated 10.75 crore nett on day one which is just huge. Recent release Fast and Furious 7 opening was around 12.25 crore nett but that was also benefitted from Holiday release. Now first weekend record of FF7 is in big danger as The Avengers is bound to get jump as weekend is approaching.
The Avengers started the day with bang with occupancy of around 50%+ in morning shows. After that film showed jump in noon shows with occupancy hovering between 50-60%. From evening occupancy further shoot up and occupancy reported around 60-70%. In premium plexes occupancy was even above 70%+ which is excellent.
Saturday (today) should be on par with Friday and most likely film should show bigger numbers from 2nd half onward as tomorrow is Sunday. Film is at least aiming for 35 crore nett first weekend number after such a fabulous start.
