So, its official. Sonakshi Sinha and A.R. Murugadoss next is titled 'Akira.' Film is an action thriller. A.R. Murugadoss has earlier directed 'Ghajini' and 'Holiday'. Akira in Sanskrit means, "graceful strength." It is also the character name of Sonakshi in the film.
Sonakshi role in film is quiet intense and of a misunderstood girl who is forced to fight back when she is put in a corner. It's truly interesting that after Ghajini, Murugadoss has once again chosen an unusual character name as the title for his new film.
The film is said to be an emotional thriller set in Mumbai and Rajasthan with Sonakshi performing action for the first time. As with most of Murugadoss' previous films, this one too has a social message. This time, he turns his focus towards the safety of women in the country today.
