Dolly ki Doli has registered decent jump on 2nd day (Saturday) at box office. Jump on day two is around 35% which is significant. DKD has collected around 3.4 crore nett on Saturday. Film two day total now stands at approx 5.9 crore nett mark.
DKD might have shown big jump on day two. But collections are still on average side considering the fact that film is released in wide screen of 1700 across India. However looking at face value business is more or less on expected lines. Film is doing relatively well in Northern Part of India and that is its main driving force. Rest of India business is poor.
Film should enjoy better occupancy on Sunday and Monday (Republic Day) because of Holiday weekend. As film is made on a controlled budget of around 25 crore, recovery of the investment should not be a major issue for the makers.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 2.5 crore nett.
Saturday - 3.4 crore nett.
Total - 5.9 crore nett (approx)
