The Shaukeens is failing to show any major jump through the first weekend. Film started on slow note on Friday (1st day) and showed limited jump on Saturday (2nd day). Film again started relatively slower on Sunday (3rd day) Morning, which is a Holiday. Film opened to occupancy of 25% on Sunday (3rd day) which is below the mark. Opening is better than Friday and Saturday, but not by much. Film now needs to pick up in day time to collect as much as possible for the day. However whether it can achieve that is to be seen.
The Shaukeens has collected around 11.25 crore nett in first two days of business in India. Film opening weekend is now heading for around 18+ crore nett mark which is much below par. Yes, film is made on controlled budget, still it needs a cut-off of around 50 crore nett from India theatricals to break even. For that a 20 crore nett first weekend is bare minimum. Ideally collection should be even more than that.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 5 crore nett
Saturday - 6.25 crore nett (est).
Total - 11.25 crore nett (approx).
