The Shaukeens Friday (1st Day) Collection

The Shaukeens has an average first day at box office as it has collected around 5 crore nett. Numbers are just average considering film is promoted well and face value in Akshay Kumar in extended cameo. Anyways film was expected to start slow and hope it registers good jump through the first weekend.

Film started slowly in Morning with 15-20% occupancy. After that film registered around 25% occupancy for Noon shows. Film showed limited growth in Evening and Night time which is surprising as film tends to show good jump there. Occupancy for Night shows are in the region of 30%+.
The Shaukeens performed decently in multiplexes, but is poor in single screens. Film will ride on word of mouth power now. Film needs to pick up well on Saturday and Sunday if it has to post some decent to respectable opening weekend numbers. Although film budget is well controlled, still needs to put up around 50-55 crore nett from India theatricals to recover the cost.
